Battery Selection Guide
Which CEENR battery is right for you? PDnation Pro vs Mini vs replacement, 5Ah vs 6Ah vs 8Ah, and brand-specific recommendations.
On this page
Step 1 — How many tool brands do you own?
3+ brands? Go straight to PDnation Pro 8.0Ah. One battery for everything beats 3 separate brand ecosystems.
2 brands? Compare a PDnation battery plus two matching Brand Mounts with two brand-specific batteries. Check both tools on the compatibility list, then compare current prices and whether you need USB-C charging.
1 brand? A drop-in replacement is a straightforward choice for the nine supported replacement platforms. Einhell users need PDnation plus its Brand Mount. Continue to Step 2.
Step 2 — Single brand: which capacity?
| You use… | Get… | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Drills, drivers, impact tools | 6.0Ah | Most jobs draw < 20A — 6.0Ah hits the sweet spot of runtime, weight, price. |
| Saws, grinders, blowers, vacuums | 8.0Ah | High-draw tools — 8.0Ah runs them 33% longer per charge. |
| Light DIY only, weight-sensitive (overhead) | 5.0Ah | Lightest capacity option. Check the product page for current availability. |
Step 3 — Need a charger?
Choose a 6A fast charger that matches your battery platform. Charge time depends on capacity, starting charge and temperature; see the charger page for the estimate for your battery.
