This battery fits the Makita 18V LXT tools (with a star or yellow battery plate, 18V X2 / 36V included), except XRV01Z (max 4Ah pack), XRV02Z (max 4Ah pack), XRM02W (max 4Ah pack), whose Makita manuals list only smaller packs. Each of the 347 models listed here is checked against Makita's official product pages.

Fits LXT tools with a star symbol or yellow battery plate. Makita says its 4.0Ah-and-larger packs fit only those tools, so early LXT tools without either aren't listed.
