Fits LXT tools with a star symbol or yellow battery plate. Makita says its 4.0Ah-and-larger packs fit only those tools, so early LXT tools without either aren't listed.

Listed for the Brand Mount: tools whose battery slides onto an open rail — drills, drivers, impact tools, saws, grinders, sanders, cutters, nailers, handheld outdoor tools and open-bay vacuums. Not listed: radios, lights, heated gear, trade and jobsite gear, 18V X2 (two-pack) tools, and tools that close a cover over the battery or are of the kind Makita says its larger 9.0Ah pack must not be used in (e.g. mowers, sprayers, covered vacuums, some saws). A mounted pack sits taller than a native LXT battery.

Either one — every Brand Mount fits both. The PDnation Pro 8.0Ah (144 Wh, 100W USB-C in and out) gives the most runtime per charge and suits high-draw tools such as circular saws, grinders and blowers; it fully charges in about 90 minutes from empty on a 100W USB-C PD charger. The PDnation Mini 4.0Ah (72 Wh, 45W two-way USB-C) is the smaller-capacity pack for overhead work, travel kits and short jobs. Both recharge over USB-C, so you don't need a Makita charger for them.
